Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is uplift?
Uplift is simply a business dedicated to sharing uplifting things. My watercolor illustrations are available as various home goods, and I am available for commissioned projects as well.
Every painting is meant to be beautiful for both kids & adults. Kids are my favorite. They are endlessly curious, inspiring, and hilarious. We have a lot to learn from their way of looking at the world.
My products are always exuberant and completely unique. I’m open to ideas for projects, and am always accepting requests!
Do you illustrate children’s books? I have an idea.
Shoot me a request for any project.
Can I see your work in person?
what’s a “flat” mobile?
My mobiles are made with flat illustration cards. This caters to baby’s vision development and makes them an heirloom gift.
Babies don’t see much beyond contrast, so flat cards appear and disappear in a very attractive way and mesmerize infants. Light-reflecting backs capture shimmer and sparkle.
The illustrations make an easy transition from baby to toddler’s space - they’re frame-able! Simply snip ribbons and frame watercolor illustrations for a wall of 8-12 illustrations.
Additionally, they’re created with adults in mind - to give parents something gorgeous to look at in a nursery or child’s space.

Are your products baby-proof?
No way! My products are for decoration, and should be hung safely away from little ones.
Some products have strings, maybe even a hook or a pokey feather. Mobiles are meant to be hung for decoration and relaxation, not play. They are handmade with paper and knots, & will not hold up to tiny hands tugging at them.
Mobiles should be distanced from a crib for two reasons: it ensures baby's safety and the mobile's longevity, and a far away object forces baby to close their eyelids further when lying on their back, helping incite sleepiness.

What materials do you use?
My favorite watercolor paints are handmade by Greenleaf & Blueberry. I'm a big fan of working on hot press watercolor blocks by Arches. I use various crafting embellishments like sequins, glitter, feathers, leather, handmade paper, & florals.
